The thought of riding for hours, changing scenery...I'm BEYOND excited! I also upgraded to first class! Wheeee! ...and I get to see my friend, which warms my heart...

One of my coworkers' brother came in from Detroit to spin at a "Hip Hop Brunch" today in New York. It was a blast. The food, the drinks, the venue, the company...and the music were all awesome (90's hip hop!). Good good times...

Today I wanted to show you guys the progress on the rooftop deck they're building outside our office. We're all so excited to be able to chill outdoors during the warmer, drier weather (hopefully) coming soon to NY!  Wonder if we'll get to have some rooftop concerts too...?

I'm thankful any day it rains that I purchased my Hunter wellies. They've saved me time and time again. And as rainy as it's been this week, totally worth the investment!

I walk past this doggy day care every day. I always stop and just watch the dogs play on the slides and in their big playroom. It's pretty much one of the highlights of my day. Dogs are therapeutic and adorable, yes? :)

I met my sister in New Orleans this past week.  It was my birthday and it was the week-long RT (Romantic Times) Booklovers Convention. So, since we are both voracious romance readers, we decided to meet up and enjoy ourselves. And we so did!  I'll share more about RT possibly another time, but here are some of my favorite Nola shots of the week...

Took a pitstop at the local Whole Foods and just found this WALL of vegetables to be DIVINE! How pretty is that?

We caught a wedding processional walking down the streets of the French Quarter. The ENTIRE wedding did the march and were singing and waving the white hankies. I LOVED it (sorry...bad picture!)

Truly one of the BEST moments was getting to meet Kristen Ashley. She is a shared favorite author of mine and my sister's and it was so freaking AWESOME meeting her. SO MUCH LOVE for this woman and her books!

Really a great time! *whew*...now I'm all caught up with my pictures! :)

So, I've always wanted to go to one of the NOH8 photo shoots. The pictures turn out SO GOOD and I'm a huge supporter of the cause. When they came to Boston (or just outside of) a few months back, I jumped on a train, met up with my friend Deirdre, donned my best white gear, and got my picture taken! I love it! Makes me happy!

I know this is weird, but...I read...a LOT...and predominantly only romance (99.9%).  So, to get ridiculously happy over a book is pretty commonplace for me. I could probably do the entire 100 Happy Days with books alone (but alas, I've decided to take the alcohol route instead, apparently).  Anywhooo...one of my all-time favorite N/A books, "Easy" by Tammara Webber, just had a sequel released.  And it's downloaded and ready to go!  LUCAS...you and me...for 400 pages...let's do this!

I realize a good number of my posts are pictures of alcohol (oops!)...I'm sure that speaks volumes about me but I'll try not to overthink it.  But it's not the cocktail in this picture that makes me happy.  It's actually the real brandied cherries.  BEST. It's kind of my Sunday routine.  But, I like to get up early, take a walk around the 'hood, and get me some Dunkin'.  Yup...me and thousands of other NY'ers and tourists, I know. Still...it feels like a treat...

This pretty girl was just chilling outside the cafe I was at today.  Her white hair and smiling face made me...happy. (Could also have been the couple glasses of wine I'd consumed...)  BTW...she was HUGE! And look how properly she sits w/ her crossed legs. :)

I was having dinner at a trendy, but fun (and delicious) thai restaurant while here in London for work. This lamp was part of their decor and I had to laugh. I just think it's awesome...silly, but awesome!  And PS, I had the duck for dinner!
