On my mind...

Would you rather be the best at something you kinda like OR just pretty good at something you're absolutely passionate about?

Would it effect you if you were in love with something/someone that didn't have a great reputation?

If you knew your relationship couldn't give you everything you wanted or deserved yet you felt satisfied every day, is it worth it?

Hmmm...

I have a super busy week coming up.

  • Work, work, work...kick-my-ass busy, but not miserable, just exhausting
  • The SF screening of "Lemonade The Movie" - stories of advertising professionals who were laid off and ended up finding their real passions
  • Dinner w/ the girls...finally...we really need to catch up.
  • "The Real Men and Women of Madison Avenue" opening - an exhibit about the heroes and heroines of advertising
  • Pack
  • Get my board tuned
  • Rent a car
  • Leave for Tahoe

I wish I had more time to just...think...

...find the answers to my own questions...

Hmmm...

Susan - I know what you mean about having time to just sitting and thinking about the answers to those kinds of questions. Honestly, the number one suggestion I would have is do start those Morning Pages routine that I have mentioned before. Basically, just write 3 pages of stream of conscious writing as soon as possible after waking up. Ideally, it's before you go online, read the paper, watch TV, or have any external input getting the in the way of your thoughts. Just write, and fill up 3 pages. I always come up with new insights, ideas, plans, etc. and those insights come EVERY day that I do this.

use your time on the drive up to Tahoe to think...nothing else to do! :)
