I hate playing the Lakers in the playoffs. I hate having to watch the Lakers for 5, 6, 7 games in a row. I hate that playing them makes me nervous. I hate that Kobe is the MVP this season. I hate that my once-admired Pao Gasol is now a Laker. I hate the Lakers fans.
But on the flip side...
I love the Spurs. I love that they come back every year and own the playoffs. I love that they find a way to win. I love that their experience allows them to bounce back from quarter to quarter, game to game. I love that you can count on them. I love that they can hang toe-to-toe with the Lakers. I love that Greg Poppovich is a genius during the playoffs. I love that Tim Duncan drives this team and wills them to win.
Yes, we're older. Yes, they're rested and we're tired. Yes, they've only lost 3 games at home since March. So what. No excuses. Do what you do. Find a way to win.
