...to be the one giving the bad news. I know it can't compare, but...
I had to layoff 9 people at my office this past week. It was brutal. Long time employees. Employees with brand new babies. Employees with mortgages. Employees facing a brutal economy, especially in advertising. It made me physically, emotionally, and mentally sick...vomiting, tears, headaches...
So, today, I choose to be thankful...thankful that I have a job. Thankful that I have a bit of security in a very uncertain time. Thankful that I got to be the one to give the news, with some compassion and concern, rather than someone else who might have just given a script and said "collect your things".
Thanks.

Very tough, but it sounds like you did a great job with it. See you on Tuesday for the LAC party?
I can't believe how many people I know that are getting laid off. Its really tough times, for sure. Hang in there.
